As a Jew, why should I accept Jesus as the Messiah?

I would actually think that your best answer to that question would come from reading the New Testament. The NT authors were mostly Jewish (Luke was not, and we don't know who wrote Hebrews, though he was most likely Jewish). Their writings are their case as to why Jesus should be accepted as the Messiah. The NT quotes the Tanakh roughly 800-900 times, with about 25 of the 27 books making a case for why you should accept Jesus as the Messiah. While I could make a case here, the NT writers do a better job, and they should be your first go-to source. Great places to start, if you don't have the time or inclination to read the NT, is Matthew, Hebrews, and Romans.
