How do we know there's a God? What is he like?

Why isn't the existence of God obvious and indisputable?

I think it is, but that's because I see it so clearly, obviously, and indisputably. It's just as obvious that there are many people who don't see it. Jesus says people have eyes but they don't see, ears but they don't hear. Paul says the nature of God is easily obvious in nature. God has revealed himself to us in nature (math is his language, science is his method). God has revealed himself to us in the Bible. God has revealed himself to us in logic. It's honestly hard for me to grasp how some people cannot see Him and can even doubt his existence, though I know there are a lot of people who don't.

Though the major religions of the world can't all be true (they contradict each other), it can be said with some confidence that a majority of people in the world and in history consider the existence of a deity to be obvious and indisputable.
