No. Because humans have a sin nature, we don't need Satan to motivate us to commit such heinous acts. It's in us. Most people restrain it because of enculturation, fear, or convictions about human wellbeing. But given the right trigger, almost all of us would turn into cold-blooded killers. It's in us. Since you're asking a Christian, you want to know what the Bible teaches.
