The Muslims I know are peaceful and good people. The Muslims I read about in the news are militants (ISIS, Al Quaeda). I know that many acts of terrorism around the globe have been perpetrated by radical Muslims. The Qur'an has messages of peace, but it also has over 100 verses telling Muslims to fight, kill, torture, rape, pillage, and conquer in the name of Allah against the Kafir (infidels).

So maybe it just depends what kind of Muslim you are, whether peaceful or violent. I find the same thing in Christianity. Most Christians are peaceful and good people. The kooks are the ones who are violent and who get on the news.

I am asking this honestly. I don't know much about the beliefs of Islam. I am trying to get a Christian's perspective.
