Heaven is portrayed in the Bible as an ideal existence, and Hell is portrayed as abominably awful. At what point do the two of them sound like similar experiences, or even Hell being the more desirable of the two?

We all wish we could sin if it wasn't for God or Satan. I know someone that is agnostic but they said if God is real afterall, they still won't stop sinning because they think hell is better than this life. Afterall, all sinning aside, eternity is a horrifying nightmare, heaven honestly doesn't sound much better than hell. Why not just sin here and ignore god then and go to hell?
