God is love, and he wanted more children to love (Rom. 8.16-18, 29-30; Heb. 2.10). He was complete because of the Trinity. He doesn't need us, he wanted us. He wanted more creatures to share his love with. He wanted more children who were like Christ and likewise glorified to live in relationship with him.

We are here to live our lives, to have a relationship with him. Why didn't just create us in heaven already, like, glorified? Because love has to be chosen. It has to be what we want. If love is forced or determined, it isn't love at all, but rather just mechanics. So we are here to live our lives, to love God and be loved in return, to enjoy the world he made for us, and to enjoy our relationships with each other and with Him.

What does God put people on the earth for?

As the final destination is heaven, why are we here anyway? As a lesson to learn? As a test to faith?
