Egyptian chronology is still being debated. There is a high chronology viewpoint and a low chronology viewpoint. Even Egyptologists can't agree about Egyptian chronology. There's a lot we don't know.

The presence of Israel in Egypt matches fairly well with the Hyksos rulers there. About 400 years after the Hyksos, Dynasty XIX came to power in Egypt, including Pharaoh Ramesses the Great. The 430-year Egyptian sojourn could have spanned the era from Hyksos to Ramesses. The Ramesside family originated in the NE Delta and came to the throne through the office of the vizierate, the pharaoh’s prime minister and chief justice. The Ramessides certainly had some Asiatic roots.

Roger Dalman writes, "An 18th Dynasty model suggests that Thutmose III was the pharaoh of Israel’s oppression, while Amenhotep II was the pharaoh of the exodus. It offers several strengths:

1. Ex. 33.18-23. The background of this account might be the coronation claims made by Hatshepsut and Thutmose III. A similar claim was made in the 13th c. BC. Thutmose III’s coronation inscription had to be seen against the politics of his age. Thutmose I had claimed that he appeared like Re. Hatshepsut claimed that Amon-Re had appeared to her mother. She had seen the sun god in his true form and had intercourse with him. Thutmose III claimed he had already travelled to the heavenly realm, and there he had seen Re’s true form. In an 18th Dynasty model, Moses was a contemporary of these people and events, and would have been aware of their claims. In this historical context, Moses’ request to see God’s face might have been partly a request for divine verification of his leadership in light of Israel’s rebellion.

2. Amenhotep II’s final campaign in Canaan. By an 18th Dynasty model, he may have been the pharaoh of the exodus. Early in his reign he campaigned in Canaan. He brought south 800 captives. He led his army north again in his 9th year. This time he only went to Sharon and the plain of Jezreel, yet he brought back a surprising number of captives. It would be easy to interpret this raid as his attempt to replace a lost work force."

According to the Bible, people and civilization had been around a LOOOONG time before the Israelites came in contact with the Egyptians. I'm not sure what your thoughts are behind your question.

Egyptian chronology and the Exodus

Why isn't Exodus chronology consistent with any historical pharaoh?

Also how could the Hebrews even come in contact with a more advanced civilization if they were the first people?
