Were Elijah and Elisha morally deficient because they did not love their enemies, the worshipers of Baal?

No, they weren't morally deficient for that reason. "Love" in the Bible is not some mushy sentimentality. As God is love but is also the judge, Elijah and Elisha were carrying out prophetic judgment fulfill God's will. Their prophetic judgment over God's enemies has nothing to do with love or non-love, but instead on the righteous judgment by a righteous God over idolaters.
