the devil was a former angel, right? how does he just suddenly gain God-like power? because they say he's in control of everything bad in the world. that's god-like. how do you explain that? and are saints born as normal humans? or are they born as being this kinda divine being?

I'm glad you posted. You have a bunch of misunderstandings. Glad to talk about it.

We don't anything about what kind of spirit being the devil was. We are simply not told. We know there are different kinds of spirit beings (angels, archangels, cherubim, seraphim, and we can assume more). We have no idea what kind of spirit being the devil is.

He doesn't have God-like power. What we are told about him is that is mainly an accuser and a deceiver. While he does have spiritual power, there is simply no comparison between him and God. When the two are in conflict, it's no contest. For God, it's like shooting fish in a bucket. Satan just doesn't compare.

He's not in control of everything bad in the world. James 1.14 says we are quite capable of being bad on our own; we don't need help. While Satan is the author of bad stuff, it's quite an overstatement to say he's in control of everything bad in the world.

I'm not sure you mean by "saints." "Saint" just means "someone who is set apart for God." In the Bible, all Christians are saints. We're normal humans who have dedicate our lives to serve the God we love.

There is only one divine being: God. The angels aren't divine, nor is Satan, nor are we.
