Do you think that people have misunderstood the work of the Holy Spirit today? Why or why not?

Your question is a little too general to address. You can always find someone who misunderstands anything. Obviously some understand the work of the Holy Spirit today, and some don't. Possibly if you were more specific about what do you think the misunderstandings are, or where are you think the points of conflict are, it would help me to answer your question more specifically.
