Jesus is teaching about the kingdom of God and what Jesus had come to make us into—a people defined by inner commitment of the heart that shows itself in the outer commitment of one’s life. What we do with our bodies matters, and what we do in our thoughts matters. It is about what you will be like if you are a follower of Jesus.
