What is the Bible? Why do we say it's God's Word? How did we get it? What makes it so special?

Do you think the old testament was written by god or men?

And to expand the question even further: If it was written by men, to what extent do you draw theological conclusions from the Old Testament?

Do you believe Moses wrote the five books of the pentateuch with god's instructions? If not, who wrote it and how do you take theological answers from a text which is probably not written by god himself?

Men who were carried along by the Holy Spirit (2 Pet. 1.21), who were submissive to the mind of God, and God breathed His word through them (2 Tim. 3.16), wrote the words on the page by their own hand. To answer your question, God wrote it through the agency of human men.

Yes, I do. I believe Moses is the source and authority behind the books. Moses didn't write them as we have them, though, since the Hebrew language didn't exist in the time of Moses. A later editor(s) gathered what Moses said, did, and wrote, and compiled them into the five books we now have.
