If God knows everything, then why didn't he prevent the Fall of Man?

God wants to love us, and our purpose in life is best fulfilled by loving God in return. If God forced us to love him, it wouldn't be love at all. That's one of several reasons why free will is necessary in creation. But free will isn't free if we can't freely choose all options. So God couldn't really prevent the Fall of Man. He did what He could do: created the world with an abundance of right options, identify the bad options, warn what would happen if someone chose the wrong, and had a plan ready to go in the event that they chose wrong to allow them to make it right.

Secondly, knowledge isn't causative. Only power is causative. Knowledge never makes anybody but yourself do anything. I could be the smartest person in the world, and I could know you inside and out, but my knowledge has no causative effect on your behavior (I'm not a Jedi). Even if I were omniscient, that doesn't cause anybody to do anything. God knows everything, but that doesn't mean he makes everything happen. And if he stopped the Fall of Man, He would be contradicting what love and creation were all about: People choosing to come into love relationship with Him.
