How do we know there's a God? What is he like?

What would it take?

We live in an age where we know you can achieve anything without prayer or belief in a god, it's no longer needed and increasing numbers of people are realizing this and shifting away, so for those who still believe.

What would it take for you to no longer believe in a god?

At this point, that's not possible any more. I am so convinced of God, with so many evidences and experiences, it's just not possible for me to go back on what I know to be true.

And I also know that you're quite wrong about being able to achieve anything without prayer. Just about everyone has some kind of medical issue, our political situation in America gets more troublesome every day, the world political situation is unstable, the world economic situation is unstable, people have more psychological issues such as depression, and violence is on the rise. I don't understand at all you having the position that we can achieve anything without prayer or belief in a god. The more God moves out of the picture, the worse things gets. Education has not been the answer; science is not the answer; money is not the answer; technology is not the answer; defunding the police isn't the answer; politics is not the answer. We need prayer more than ever.

I see the complete opposite to you

I am so unconvinced of a god with so much evidence and experiences, I know it's not true

What has the human race achieved with prayer that has never been achieved without prayer?

No surprise.

> What has the human race achieved with prayer that has never been achieved without prayer?

  • The U.S.S.R. was brought down by prayer in 1989. The protests of millions in the streets were led by Christians.
  • The Protestant Reformation
  • The downfall of Idi Amin
  • The ministry and accomplishments of George Muller on behalf of orphans (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Müller)
  • The survival of Melanchthon (from the memoirs of Martin Luther)
  • The fall of East Germany and the Berlin Wall
  • Brother Andrew smuggling thousands of Bibles behind the Iron Curtain

These are a few that immediately come to mind.
