Hello Jim - First time poster. I love this site and the discussion that I have read has really helped my understanding. Thanks!!

Have you seen the first season new-ish show The Chosen? I just finished it yesterday, do you have any thoughts?

Well, I'm glad you found me and have found the site to be helpful. That's actually the point.

I've seen ads for the Chosen but haven't seen the show. Sorry I can't comment, but it's stupid to comment about what I haven't seen. Nor have I heard anything from others about it, so I'm pretty blank here. Sorry.

I'll see if I can watch Episode 1 tonight on Youtube. Where would I normally go to watch it? I can't seem to find that out online.

I downloaded the app (also called The Chosen) and watched that way. It is very easy to connect it to a streaming device such as an Apple TV or a Roku.

I watched Episode 1 tonight. It was good! I liked it. I'll have to see if I'm able to watch any of the other episodes, but I'll try.

Totally agree on this series - very well done. Most other films or series I've seen related to Jesus feel like they are just exact copies taken from scripture and have no life in the characters or they take too many liberties and lose the biblical element. This one handles the source material with respect while giving the people life. If you want to use the app and cast it Jim, I think either searching for The Chosen or VidAngel (the film company who made it) should work. Thats what I did on the app store with my iphone to cast to my tv.

On a somewhat related noted - you both should see this youtube channel called The Bible Project. Its great series with nice animations and visuals that go through summaries of books of the bible, major prophets and themes, and general concepts throughout.
