Re: Any thoughts on this worldview: Optimistic Nihilism

I do not share their conclusions. If indeed this is all there is to existence, then there is no reason for optimism. People who lived lives full of torment will not receive any consolation. People who starved to death will never be filled etc. The only purpose of their existence was suffering and pain. According to this view the best that can happen to you is to be born into a rich family in a wealthy country and spend the few moments that form an average human lifespan with as much superficial pleasure you can before you no longer get the needed high from running the hedonistic treadmill and then still die.

That an abysmal view of existence but fortunately a false one.

Incoherent atheistic nonsense. It is a worldview that does not even distinguish between the most murderous and rapacious tyrant, and the most loving and charitable saint. For both are meaningless, and a matter of mere "moral choice."

Such a grossly coarse morality is not only false, but completely reprehensible. While these atheistic, communistic propagandists slip in the phrase "bonus points for doing good" it is self-evident that in their system there are no points at all. Furthermore, their dismissal of theology under the guise of scientific historicity is explicitly non-historical, as the bulk of the great scientific discoveries they would cling to were discovered by devoutly avowed Christians.

A true nihilist possesses no world view. He would weigh the Christian position and the atheist position as one and the same nonsense. The purpose of this video is the same veiled anti-Christianity that has saturated the cultural discourse of our modern propagandists for a century now. It is becoming tiresome.
