Would you ever change your theology due to scientific discovery? and Does seeing Genesis as a metaphor fix any potential contradictions between scientific consensus?

Science isn't the enemy. We refine our thoughts all the time based on what is true. I don't know what science you could possibly be talking about that has changed our theology, so if you want to talk more, you'll have to be more specific.

Genesis is neither a metaphor nor a contradiction to scientific consensus. Genesis 1 & 2 are about how God ordered the world to function, not about their material manufacture. As such, they are about how the cosmos and Earth work and why they are there, not about how they came to be. Gn. 1-2 are neither metaphor nor contradictory to science.
