I was skimming through a newspaper dated April 21, 1938, and came across this gem. Several things stand out to me:
1. The will of the people and the majority vote don’t necessarily signal a good decision.
2. More people need to have courage to stand against wrong.
3. Following orders blindly can lead to disaster.
4. Anti-Semitism is wrong all on its own, but it is also the manifestation of a deeper problem.
All of these are pertinent to us now in our civil and political situation.
