How do we know there's a God? What is he like?

Does God have a sense of humor?

Do you think God has a sense of humor?

To me there's no reason to think that he doesn't. James 1.17 says that God is the giver of all good gifts to us, and a sense of humor and the ability to laugh are certainly good gifts. And since God can't give what he doesn't have, I'll conclude he has a sense of humor.

That's a really great answer! Thanks for it. One follow up: if God can't give things He doesn't have, does that mean that God has "useless" organs like an appendix or vestigial tail bone?

I see you have a sense of humor!

No, God doesn't have a physical body. His creation of the material cosmos doesn't mean he is somehow composed of planets and galaxies; his creation of the world doesn't mean God is spherical; his creation of humans with bodies doesn't mean God has useless organs. When I said God can't give what he doesn't have, I was referring to qualities and the nature of things.
